Benji began working with makeup at the age of 15 as a way to bring to life the creatures that lurked in his mind. Born and raised in rural Georgia, makeup was an escape from the constraints of small town life. As a completely self taught artist Benji has many amazing mentors that have helped him along the way. He worked at Atlanta’s top rated haunted house Netherworld Haunted House for 5 seasons re-igniting his passion for makeup. 

Movies and TV work became the next progression in his career. Working on sets like Stranger Things 3 & 4, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 & 3, The Resident, Hocus Pocus 2, The Underground Railroad, Teenage Bounty Hunters where he has gotten to work closely with some amazing talent. He was also the Personal Makeup Artist for Mr. Tyler Perry on what was to then be his last two Madea movies and was able to help bring to life Madea, Uncle Joe and Uncle Heathrow under the direction of Wesley Wofford.  Benji is not only a special effects makeup artist but is proficient in multiple areas of makeup from beauty, drag to straight corrective makeup.
